Privacy notice

This is the plain-English version of what we collect and what we do with it. If a court needs the legal version, contact privacy@adviceguru.com.

What we collect

• Email address, if you subscribe to the newsletter. That is all we need to send it.
• Anonymized analytics — pages viewed, referrer, city-level location. We use this to know what people read.
• What you type into the ask and how-to-say-it tools is sent to Anthropic (the Claude model) to generate a response. It is not stored on our servers. Anthropic's data-handling terms apply for the transit through their API.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your email to anyone.
• We do not share your email with anyone outside our own newsletter delivery.
• We do not run behavioral advertising or tracking pixels.
• We do not store the contents of your ask or how-to-say-it prompts.
• We do not use your prompts to train any model.

Cookies

We use a small number of technical cookies to keep the site working (dark mode preference, dismissed banners). We do not use tracking cookies. If we ever add third-party analytics that would materially change this, we will say so on this page and note the date.

Newsletter unsubscribe

Every newsletter email has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom. It works immediately. Your address is deleted from the active list within 24 hours.

To delete your address from all AdviceGuru systems, including any archived record, email privacy@adviceguru.com. We will confirm the deletion within 7 days.

Changes to this notice

If we change the substance of this notice, we will note the change at the top of the page with a date. Small copy edits do not warrant a note.
