AdviceGuru is a publication for adult life — the parts nobody trained you for.

Most sites in this shape are one of two things: a personal blog dressed up as a magazine, or an SEO farm dressed up as a personal blog. We wanted to make the third thing. A small, deliberately named editorial bench. Real writing, with a specific voice for each subject. Advice that gives you the sentence to say out loud, the number that actually matters, or the step you did not know was step one.

The frame

We organize around what is going on with you, not what is neat for us. A "life moment" is the front door. From the hub for caring for parents, you land inside a specific hard week. From the first $10K saved, you land inside a specific decision.

Under the hubs are topics. Under the topics are the pieces themselves, each in the voice of one of our five gurus.

What we do not do

We do not publish personal essays. We do not do listicles disguised as advice. We do not sell your inbox. We do not accept payment for placement. We do not print anything that would embarrass us if a reader took it to a therapist, a lawyer, or their mother.
